Manos Negras, Red Soil Select Pinot Noir

A very open and full aroma hit of autumn berries. Rich flavours of bramble, chocolate and plum with some earthy spiciness. 12 months in oak gives a wonderful depth.

After gentle de stemming a cold maceration follows for 2 days. Whole berry fermentation with natural yeasts at a maximum temperature of 22° C. There is extensive punching down for the first 7 days of the 12 day fermentation.

Alejandro Sejanovich is arguably Argentina’s most knowledgeable viticulturist, working as vineyard director for Bodega Catena Zapata for 16 years, before joining Manos Negras in 2010. Awarded Top 10 Wine makes in South America by Decanter. Tim Atkin MW named Alejandro, Winemaker of the Year 2021.
