Manos Negras, Pinot Noir

The bright sunny days, and high altitude, produce a deep blackish grape skin and dark fruit flavours while the cool mountain nights produce produce violet aromas and a soft, supple texture.

Aged in old French Oak for 9 months, with a tiny proportion (10%) in new oak to keep the bright fruit flavours.

Alejandro Sejanovich is arguably Argentina’s most knowledgeable viticulturist, working as vineyard director for Bodega Catena Zapata for 16 years, before joining Manos Negras in 2010. Awarded Top 10 Wine makes in South America by Decanter. Tim Atkin MW named Alejandro, Winemaker of the Year 2021.

Tim Atkin Argentina Report 2021 90 Points
Fresh, lifted and aromatic, this illustrates Alejandro Sejanovich’s desire to express “vibrancy” in his Pinot Noirs. All sourced from Patagonia, it has appealing pot pouri and ginger spices aromas, zesty red cherry and pomegranate fruit and very understated wood. 2021-25. 90 Points, TA, May 2021.
