May always feels like a bit of a turning point in

May always feels like a bit of a turning point in the wine world.…
The heavier winter bottles step aside, and in come the fresher, brighter styles made for longer days, lighter evenings, and the first proper taste of summer.
We’re delighted to introduce our newest arrival:
Earthsong, Dillon’s Point Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc
Introductory offer: £12.99 (usually £14.99)
Sourced from one, regeneratively farmed vineyard in the renowned Dillon’s Point area of the lower Wairau. The vineyard is not tilled, extensive cover crops are used and sheep are run in the vineyard over winter to provide nutrients. During the growing season, vines are shoot thinned to provide ideal fruit exposure and ripeness. Proximity to the ocean provides night time cooling which helps to preserve the crisp acids and brininess.
And we couldn’t resist the label either.
It feels fitting for May to think about the return of swallows—those small seasonal signs that summer is on its way. There’s that old saying, “one swallow doesn’t make a summer”, but when you pour a glass like this, it does at least feel like it’s getting closer…

Bin End Special - Last Chance Offers
As we refresh and evolve our range, a few favourites are making way for new arrivals. That means a rare opportunity to pick up some outstanding wines at reduced prices—until stocks run out.
From the ever-reliable Riondo stable:
Riondo Valpolicella Ripasso DOC
Was £15.99 → Now £9.99
Black fruits and mocha on the nose. Rich and full bodied on the palate with plum, black cherry and damson flavours, dried figs and dates and a lingering pleasant warming and lightly spiced finish.
Riondo Amarone della Valpolicella
Was £29.99 → Now £20.00
Rich aromas of ripe black cherry and plum, with dried fruit characters and a touch of toasty spice. The palate is plush with ripe plum and bramble characters, a hint of vanilla and pepper, supple tannins and juicy acidity.
Both available while stock lasts as part of our bin-end clear out.

Instead we offer amazing value all year round. Exceptional wines at affordable prices. No bullshit, no inflated prices before an offer that is really a cut back to normal pricing.
We don't abuse our suppliers, and we don't insult our customer's intelligence.
Black Friday (now a week long? a month long?) is a distraction from quality independent companies that work at good value for money, and quality, every day.

Wandering off to @spoonandwhiskbakery for a coffee whilst MOT being done, and this an elephant hawkmoth needed a little rescue. Sat in the middle of the pavement in Warwick and happily relocated to the flower beds on Jury Street. What a beauty. Be kind every day.
