Description
A complex wine with lovely toasty notes and savoury buttery character. The palate has more toasty complexity with flavours of hazelnuts and caramalised yellow apples. Rich and balanced with complementary acidity and good length.
Vines grow on limestone/clay soils at a very low density (vines are pruned to 7 buds per cane). Hand picked grapes with no destemming are gently but speedily pressed and the juice then fermented in oak barrels with regular batonnage and aging for several months in oak before bottling.
