Cinco Fincas Mendoza Malbec

A very quaffable, easy drinking Argentinean favourite. No oaking, just full expression of the fruit. With copious amounts of blackberry, plum and cherry, this is super juicy, bright and fresh. Well rounded tannins make this very soft on the palate.

Cinco Fincas – Five Farms. Optimum fruit from a collaboration of five premium wine growers. Farming friends in the Medrano appellation of Mendoza. Deep sandy soils, in fairly arid conditions, means tight full flavoured bunches from vines that are all beyond ten years. Early in fermentation there is extensive ‘punching down’ and pumping over, integrating the floating skins, and bringing a density of colour and flavour. The wine is aged for a short period on lees – a process more common for whites, but producing a fine silky texture.
