Olive Oil from Puro Mediterraneo
Puro Mediterraneo Extra Virgin Olive oil is a completely natural product. Without compromise.
Puro Mediterraneo is an olive oil, but it is also a synthesis of all of this. Tasting Puro Mediterraneo allows you to experience this heritage and enjoy a true and frank product like the people of this land.
Depending on the seasons, olives are normally collected during the months of November and December. The harvesting process can be done in several ways, but we prefer using methods that do not damage the plants as this allows us to collect the olives efficiently.
Once the olives are collected they are sent to the plant for milling. It is crucial that the olives are pressed within one day of collection. This allows us to produce the best olive oil and keep all the original flavours and aromas. Our olives are normally pressed within ten hours of the harvest.
Before being pressed olives are cleaned with water to remove leaves and other unexpected elements. The extraction of oil takes place at temperatures below 27°C to preserve the aromas and not alter the oil in any possible manner.
Once the oil is extracted, it is poured into barrels for decanting purposes and to make sure the heavy parts of the olive oil are on the bottom and then removed.
The olive oil is then bottled and ready to enjoy.
